Dr. Jose G. Lepervanche Valencia, Center Director
Dr. Lepervanche currently works as Professor of Business Management and Information Systems at Florida State College at Jacksonville. He is 2019 FSCJ Distinguished Faculty Awards’ Professor. He also teaches IS&T and eBusiness courses online in graduate programs. His courses are: Management Theory and Practice, Strategic Management, Management of Information Systems, and Web Development. He is Founder Organizer of TEDxFSCJ (www.tedxfscj.com) TEDxSaguntoWomen and TEDxSaguntoStudio. He uses TED, TED-Ed, and TEDx Talks to enhance management instruction beyond the classroom. He is a retired Lieutenant Commander from the Venezuelan Navy and he has a Nuclear Engineer degree (Risk, Information and Decision Analysis) and a M.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His undergraduate degree from the Venezuelan Naval Academy (First of the Class) is a Lic. in Naval Sciences (focused on Electronics). He also was Honor Graduate of the International Electronic Warfare Course at the US Navy Atlantic Fleet Combat Training Center in Virginia. He earned his PhD in Organization & Management with specialization in Information Technology Management from Capella University.

Commodore Lepervanche is a lifelong Scout leader in Venezuela and the USA. He was Scoutmaster of Troop 182 in Jacksonville 2006-13 and he was selected one of the 43 2009 BSA National Distinguished Scoutmasters. He was Scoutmaster / Course Director of North Florida Council’s National Youth Leadership Training (Brownsea). He is the immediate past VP of Scouting Programs and Sea Scouts Council Commodore for BSA North Florida Council. He currently is Sea Scouts Council Commodore and member of the Council Executive Board for BSA Transatlantic Council. Prof. Flor Lepervanche, Online Director

Flor Lepervanche earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Andres Bello Catholic University – UCAB – Caracas, Venezuela. She worked in Administrative areas in Rasara Travel LLC, Jacksonville; Magiff International, Interbrokers Insurance, A Touch of Class, and ITINET Innovative Telematics in Miami, FL, USA. She worked in Finances in M.M. Fintec, C.A. Investment Bank, Lagoven . Oil Company, and Venezuelan Navy. Last rank: Lieutenant Commander in Caracas, Venezuela. She earned her Master of Arts in Education Specialization in Online Education in UNAD Florida. Her final project was a study to assess two types of platforms of online learning comparing and contrasting both in computers and mobile devices. The study serves as a basis for the assessment of learning platforms applicable to mobile devices. She has been assisting in online courses in WebCT, eCollege, Blackboard, Moodle, and Canvas. She is a Competent Communicator and she was Treasurer of Top O’ The Rock Toastmasters. She has been online professor in UNAD Florida since 2013.

From 2013 to 2016 she was the Academic Director of the English Program for the Department of Meta, Colombia, an international project between UNAD Florida, UNAD Colombia, and the government of Department of Meta, Colombia.
As Online Education Specialist she had to re-design all English programs created by UNAD Florida for higher education and adapt them for middle and high school students and offline platforms. She also designed and adapted the instructional guides for English teachers and project coordinators. She also created an ESOL immersion program for high school students and English teachers. She is fully Bilingual (English and Spanish). She shares her travel experiences and lessons in Global Learning Adventures (globallearningadventures.org) and Global Story Maps (globalstorymaps.com)

She has participated in activities in community work in: Boy Scouts of America. (Troop Committee Member) Scouts of Venezuela. Treasurer. – St. Louis Catholic Church. Miami, FL.
